Legal Advice: sex, drugs, violation of trust on the internet?

So a couple of wks ago, a couple of my girlfriends and I went up to Los Angeles (we're from San Diego) to hang out with our friend and go to his club.

We got there on Friday afternoon, and as soon as we got there, they started doing drugs. I am the only one in that group of 7 girls who doesnt do drugs or doesnt sleep around, so I was gone by Friday night (they were doing drugs in the house and I left and went to a different friends house)

Well I dont know what exactly happened except for he slept with most of the girls and posted it on his website. He DID NOT have their consent, and it is visible that the camera was not at an area visable to the girls.

In addition, he also had a camera in the bathroom, and when they took showers, went to the bathroom, or did anything naked, he caught it on camera .... and posted that stuff as well.

So my question is what is the penalty they would have to pay for sueing him because they were doing illegal drugs. and would I have to go to court because I was in the video, but its clear that I left when they started doing drugs (you can hear me say ';drugs. nope. I'm outta here. Its illegal for a reason and I am not about to get in trouble';)

There are 2 different approaches to this: a civil suit with your friends versus the guy, and a criminal prosecution against the guy.

The chances that a civil suit will turn into a prosecution against the girls are very small. On the other hand, the civil suit is only likely to be useful if the guy has assets worth suing for.

It's also relatively unlikely that a prosecution against the guy would turn into a prosecution against the girls, especially if they were only using (not selling/distributing) the drugs. Legal Advice: sex, drugs, violation of trust on the internet?
Quite frankly, if they are willing to testify against him, they probably will be let off with community service. If they themselves have a long arrest record, that may be different.

Still, this guy has to be stopped. He's probably doing the same thing to other people right now. Send the video, URL, the guy's name and address, etc. (anonymously if you must) to the District Attorney's office or police.
I dont know about the penalty stuff, but girrrllll you act welll!!!! Good for you! You would have been in a serious trouble otherwise.
Holy Crap,

I am so sorry that this has happened. What a freaking ahole. I am going to star this and I hope you get some good answers.

Good luck
they have put themselves in a bad spot. i don't think they can get hit for the drug charges, it would be very hard to prove after the fact with no samples. they need a good lawyer. i'm not sure about the sex scenes but the bathroom is definitely illegal. it's probably a good idea if you stay out of it. the video can speak for itself. good move on leaving.

you know with most of the girls involved it's going to come off looking like an orgy. if i were a lawyer i'd want to represent him. i don't think the girls really have a chance at anything but a lot of BAD publicity.
There are many competent attorneys in San Diego and Los Angeles who are well qualified to advise you and your friends with on your rights and potential remedies in regard to this matter, and you should seek their legal analysis and advice.

That being said, the use of an unlawful substance should not legally disqualify you or your friends from enforcing your legal rights in California state court. More importantly, any lawyer you consult is bound to protect your client confidences with respect to the activities that you and your friends were engaged in.

Obtain a legal consultation with a qualified attorney as soon as possible.
