My parents own a home that I have lived in since a child. They have separated but remain married. Prior to that, a living trust was made up saying that the home would be left to me in the event of their deaths. I am wondering what would happen if one of them changed their minds and if their spouse died would that mean I have no claim to the property? I have also invested lot of money and time in it, paying all bills and taxes involved. Any advice on what could occur? Thank you.Legal advice on living trust?
If the trust is revocable, then they could change the beneficiaries at any time before one of them dies. You'd be up a creek without a paddle.
